    I had the awesome opportunity to take pictures of Janelle Monáe a couple nights ago, and I literally took so many pictures that I can’t even come close to deciding which ones are good enough to post here, but I had to put up something so here’s a random one from backstage that I actually like for some reason, even though (and probably actually because) it’s slightly out of focus and no one looks like they know what is going on. It is the only instant of Janelle that I have ever seen where it doesn’t look like she’s knows exactly what she’s doing, and doing it perfectly. I feel like I captured something very rare. She’s so great.
